Failed your HGV test? What happens next
What to do if you fail an HGV theory or practical test, and how to book another go without losing months.
Failing a test feels grim. It is also common. Nerves, a bad day, one habit the examiner did not like. It does not mean you cannot drive a lorry.
Theory fail
Revise the weak spots. Do not book the next morning out of spite. A week of phone mocks is cheaper than another fail. Then we help you book again.
Practical fail
Ask what they marked. Go back to the instructor on those points. One more block of lessons can be enough. Wandering off to a different yard in a sulk often wastes money.
